My name is Kenneth and I am the Product Manager for Knights & Dungeons. I hope you have enjoyed the game so far. As the game is now available in more countries and have seen some drastic changes in the last few updates, I want to take the time to talk to everyone, to explain the changes as well as what are the things we are working hard to make right now.
=Things to come=
- Guild Wars and contest for Castles
We recognize quite early that current guild gameplay lacks competitive elements. To address that, we are planning on adding guild wars in order to contest for control on Castles. Each server will have 3 castles where guilds can contest over. When guild war happens, guilds owning a castle can then assign their members for defensive positions.
We expect to push it out during December. Here are some teasers:
- Guild Boss fight rework
We want to encourage a little bit more interaction between guild members when it comes to BOSS fights. So we are planning on introducing a map where guild members must collaborate on which direction they will explore.
We expect for it to come out at right about the same time. Here are some teasers on this:
- Co-Op rework
From the start we do feel the current Co-Op iteration is a bit underwhelming, and the current onslaught of cheaters motivated us to disable it for now while we iterate. We have the vision on letting players explore dungeons together and we want to make it happen.
This is much more technically challenging so will likely be something next year.
= Things we have changed =
- PVP is now fully auto and no longer accepts player input.
This is an unfortunate choice we had to make for the game. While we truly love the idea of having players being able to hold full control and being a game of skill, we have observed many exploits that affected the balance and fairness because of it. For the sake of fairness for everyone, we have disabled input for now. We might revisit the decision later on when we have the extra capacity to address some of the cheating issues.
- Co-Op is disabled
The reason why we disabled this feature for now is because we believe we can make a much better Co-Op experience than the mode we have today. See Co-Op rework above for more detail
- Rebalancing Fashion
We have rebalanced fashion stats since we noticed they are a little way too powerful after we introduced fusion, causing player power to be out of sync with difficulty.
